Dakota Access Pipeline announced Friday the company will donate $20,000 to first responders in each county along the four-state pipeline route, including $140,000 for seven North Dakota counties.
The donations are intended to help emergency management departments purchase new equipment, perform training or meet other needs that benefit first responders, the company said in a news release.
Dakota Access announced three press conferences for Tuesday in Williston, Watford City and Mandan. The counties that will benefit are Mountrail, Williams, McKenzie, Dunn, Mercer, Morton and Emmons counties.
