The downturn hasn’t seemed to affect the size of donations the oil and gas sector is giving to big community projects in the region.

A $74 million hospital project in Watford City has been a particular draw for some of these donations, including $1 million from ONEOK, $200,000 from Oasis Petroleum, $300,000 from Kinder Morgan, $50,000 from XTO Energy, $10,000 from QEP, and, the latest, $42,000 from Hess for colonoscopy equipment.

The new complex will include a hospital clinic and nursing home in a brand new, 120,000 square-foot facility. There will also be an on location helipad.
