Held twice each summer in two communities impacted by development, the Bakken Rocks CookFest offers residents the opportunity to get out and learn more about the ins and outs of the oil and gas industry, attend an info sessions where they can listen to and visit with the experts of the industry, and best of all, eat some of the best BBQ available in western North Dakota and vote on their favorite team. An alcohol-free event, CookFest offers fun and entertainment for the whole family!
This year, Westhope is proud to host the Bakken Rocks CookFest! Festivities will include a Bakken Basics Informational Session from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Westhope School Gymnasium with a FREE barbecue, live music and games and activities for kids from 4-7 p.m. on the field just north of the school.
Medora will also host Bakken Rocks CookFest on Thursday, July 20! The Bakken Basics Informational Session from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Roughrider Hotel and a FREE barbecue, live music by Mighty Big Jim and the Tall Boys and games and activities for kids at Chimney Park from 4-7 p.m.
