Kinder Morgan presented a $250,000 check to the Arnegard Fire Department earlier this month, making the company’s donation the largest given to the new station.
“Thanks to this generous investment from Kinder Morgan, the Arnegard Fire Department is positioned to respond to the public safety needs of our community and surrounding areas as the population in McKenzie County continues to grow,” Arnegard Fire Chief Rick Schreiber told the McKenzie County Farmer. “As an all-volunteer fire department, we rely on the generosity of businesses like Kinder Morgan to help our department ensure we are equipped to help keep our community safe.”
The new station will help the department better manage its operations, especially as the number of calls increased by 1,000 percent over the past five years. In addition, the facility brags more space for training, parking equipment vehicles and to serve as a meeting space for the community.
“Kinder Morgan is proud to partner with the Arnegard Fire Department as it works to expand its capacity to serve the community,” said Jesse Greenberg, public affairs manager for Kinder Morgan. “The volunteer fire responders bravely serve on the front lines to help keep residents safe and we believe it is important to support their efforts. We are committed to partnering with organizations who serve the city of Arnegard and McKenzie County.”
