  • Whiting Petroleum raised money for charitySeptember 22, 2015

Whiting Petroleum Corporation employees raised more than $103,000 for charity as part of the Kroll’s Diner Bismarck Marathon Saturday.

Donations will go to Make-A-Wish of North Dakota and the Wounded Warrior Project, the company said in a statement.

Whiting had 55 runners from throughout the state and its headquarters in Denver running various events.

This is the third year Whiting has participated in a marathon event in North Dakota to raise money for local charities, growing from 14 runners at the Scheels Fargo Marathon in the first year and doubling money raised.
